There are times I find a shoe I absolutely adore but am uncertain that I could wear. This is one of those shoes. I love them, and they are one ferocious shoe - but the heel intimidates me a little bit. You know what, though? I'd give it a try to have shoes this amazing! Found these at House of Fraser, and they do ship to Canada (for £6, which is practically free). They carry far more than shoes, too, which is terrific for English-style junkies like me...

Rocket Dog

Yes, there is a shoe company named "Rocket Dog". Being a fan of brilliant names I love the name of this company! It makes me giggle, and they also happen to make some very cool shoes. I found these at Schuh and think they are adorable. Why don't we have such great, unique, and inexpensive shoes in Canada? I don't know, but thank the shoe gods for low-cost shipping from England!

Funky Flats

You may have noticed, fellow addicts, that my taste in shoes generally runs to heels. While that's true I also find myself liking some of the flat sandals you can find right now. The gladiator look is probably going to fall out of style favour soon as it's been popular in Europe for years but it's still pretty hot in Canada. I particularly love embellished-style gladiators as they show some true character. I found these at Spring Shoes and think they are pretty cool! Great with shorts or capris, and likely very comfortable, too...

Fluevog - Wonder Kilimanjaro

Shoe addicts, I have a new favourite shoe. I actually purchased these a couple of months ago when I was in Vancouver (after ogling them on the Fluevog shoes website for weeks). This past weekend I wore them for the second time and after all the looks and compliments knew I needed to write about them. They are sweet and yet sexy, comfortable and yet stylish. You can switch out the raw leather laces for ribbons, as I did this weekend, and turn them into an incredibly hot little shoe. Addicts, may I introduce you to....

An Irregular Discovery

Well, fellow addicts, I've made a disturbing discovery. It's disturbing on two fronts, the first being that I hadn't checked this before, and the second being that it may end in a lot more shoes coming to my house. You see, my favourite English shoe designer Irregular Choice has a store in New York City. One of the reasons I haven't ordered shoes directly from IC is that the store in London charges £85 to ship to Canada, which seems absurd considering Schuh ships for £10. This bothered me as I couldn't justify paying that much to ship even if they are awesome shoes. Last night, though, the thought struck me: do they ship from New York? The answer arrived today. They do - for $50, which is still high, but a lot more palatable than £85 (or about $130). First thought? Uh oh. I do so love their shoes, and I've been eying these up...including shipping and taxes/duties/tariffs I can own these for about $200. Uh oh indeed.

Steppin' Out

Sometimes a girl has to step outside her comfort zone a bit. I'm not a fan of country music but it just so happens I am planning to attend a country concert in my home city this summer (Reba, anyone?!?). I'm thinking such an event needs special shoes, and I really don't own "cowboy boots". I found these though and while they have a definite country edge I think they could be worn with many other things. The white really makes them stand out, and the patterning is lovely!
