A Fluevog Revelation

It has been far, far too long and this little blog has been neglected - but my love of shoes is undiminished. I decided to resurrect this blog in order to begin sharing the shoe love once more, and there is one line of shoes that impressed me way back in 2011 (when I started this blog) and still does in 2014. In fact, they caught my eye and captured my heart in the 1980's, because no one does shoes like John Fluevog.

Originating in Vancouver, Fluevog shoes are now all over the world and for good reason. The eclectic designs are coupled with fabulous craftsmanship, creating shoes that are not only good quality but truly unusual. Fluevogs - or 'Vogs' as their fans call them - are not for everyone, but every true shoenista will likely have a pair or two (dozen) in their closet.

The spring/summer 2014 line does not deviate from Fluevog's attention to detail and love of the unique, and these little charmers showcase every facet of Fluevog at his finest. These are from the Miracles family and are called the 'Revelation' - and I would say they are a revelation indeed! The sweet little ribbon tie, the delicate embroidery, and the slightly saucy heel coupled with the little swoosh cut out? This is THE shoe for spring in my closet - and you can find the Miracles Revelation right here! The best news? They also come in a black and beige colourway!

  1. Hello -what is the fit for your kilimajaros? I'm an 8-8.5 in the Malibran, but the kilimanjaros look as though they might be a bit tight in the toebox .... many thanks! Fellow vogger
